Judges’ Comments It’s easy to go over the top with a large format book like this, but Monster’s Lunch has let the cuteness of the monster be the hero and kept the layout and text simple. The effect is to drive attention to the monster’s gorgeous face, especially its mouth, with its endearing single, goofy tooth and unabashed emotion.
