It is a difficult job being a judge with so many beautifully designed books on offer. This year, for the first time ever, we are throwing the judging open to the public. Attendees of the 2017 PANZ Book Design Awards ceremony, being held on Thursday 20 July at Fresh Factory, Eden Terrace, will be able to have their say. Their votes will choose the winner of the Hachette New Zealand People’s Choice Award.
Voting will take place at the on the night, immediately prior to the ceremony where all the shortlisted books will be on display. Ticket holders will be asked to vote for the design they feel is the very best out of all the finalists and the book with the most votes will take out the prize. Take a look at all the shortlisted titles now.
We invite you to come along to the ceremony and cast your vote on which of the shortlisted titles you think deserves to be a winner. Book your PANZ Book Design Awards ceremony tickets here. It should also make for some interesting discussion at the PANZ Design Workshop on the following day (21 July at the National Library) so don’t forget to register for the workshop too!
