Judges' comments This book is a work of typographic joy. It's typographic refinement at the highest level, with typefaces, image and white space balanced in such a way where everything just fits. delicate serifs and spurs give the pages a sense of timelessness, reminding the reader of memorials or lettering found on official documentation. The design speaks to the subject matter and the time in which the portraits were made.
