Judges’ comments Taken together, these two volumes are a delightful and cohesive pair. The consistent use of Klim typefaces — Juana, Domaine, and National — are thoughtfully chosen and are flexible enough to cater to the nuances of the stories and the ways their authors chose to have them represented. The covers make good use of a controlled colour palette and James Ormsby’s word art, enhanced by a gloss overlay. Inside, the careful management of grey tones on newsprint, adds depth and texture, making this series a standout in its thoughtful design and cultural representation.
