“A sketched honesty and vulnerability emerge on the front cover. But the words from the man drawn and the author photograph on the back cover are oddly silent, contemplative. Perhaps full of words as yet unsaid. There is a nice surprise of the hot pink magenta cover revealed under the smooth-to-the-touch dust jacket. The typography on the spine holds just enough presence to be hunted down in Poetry sections. The whole cover seems as if it needs just one design element more to give a sense of what the collection or author promise inside.”

“A wildcard. Love the splash of hot pink under the dust jacket – a lovely surprise. Love the simplicity and restrained, primitive drawing on the cover. It’s a tactile joy to hold. But the book gets extremely grubby and wrecked and ripped unless covered – the matte cream finish.”
